This is a follow up of the last  HBCA public meeting on the on A1A reconfiguration. During that meeting, Mr. Jorge Camejo, Hollywood CRA director heard the concerns of a number of residents regarding any reduction of traffic lanes on A1A.  Mr. Camejo indicated that this feedback would be carefully considered in the next design phase of the project.

The Hollywood Beach Civic Association Board of directors received confirmation directly from Mr. Camejo  that “there will not be any section of A1A between Hollywood Blvd. and Sheridan St. that will be reduced to three lanes”.  “The next iteration of the design will provide a minimum of four lanes throughout the corridor.”

The HBCA thanks all of those who attended the meeting and voiced their opinion. We also thank Mr. Camejo and his staff for keeping the community informed and for being responsive to the community feedback.

We will keep monitoring this project and will inform the community of any important developments.

Frank De Risi.
