Dear All ( over 4500 HBCA List Members )     The City of Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA)   The City of Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is scheduled to begin the Phase IV Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities and Streetscape Beautification Project in late 2023.   The project will include east to west roadway improvements for 18 streets between Harrison Street and Magnolia Terrace, from State Road (SR) A1A to the west side of the Broadwalk. The work is similar to the work completed in the BCRA district on the 33 east-west Streets, north of Hollywood Boulevard. Work for Phase IV will include the undergrounding of overhead utilities, roadway improvements, and installation of new marine turtle friendly lighting. Flood improvements are targeted by raising the road profile and adding drainage inlets along all east west streets.    Work will be done in stages to minimize construction-related impacts. Please use caution when traveling through construction zones.   To complete the streetscape, it will be necessary to modify private property elevations to transition to the new raised road grades. This gradual adjustment is referred to as harmonization. The project team will be reaching out separately to those individual property owners. A future public meeting will be conducted this fall to discuss the project and harmonization process prior to the start of construction. The community will receive the public meeting information once the time and date have been confirmed.   As part of the City’s commitment to keep our residents informed, the enclosed project fact sheet will be distributed to interested parties throughout the project area. Please visit the CRA Project website (https://www.hollywoodcra.org/PhaseIV) for more information or to view the customized design for your street.   For additional project information, please contact Senior Community Outreach Specialist Melissa Rodriguez by email, [email protected], or by phone at (305) 570-8076.
